A Life of Service to Washington’s 8th District
About Andres Valleza
For more than a decade, I have served Washington State on the front lines—working directly with at-risk youth, families in crisis, individuals with disabilities, and most notably in law enforcement as a Parole Officer for both adults and juveniles.
My career has been defined by responsibility, accountability, and a willingness to step into difficult situations to protect others.
This isn’t textbook taught theory or politics for me; It’s lived experience.
Juvenile Rehabilitation Counselor
Juvenile Parole Officer
Adult Parole Officer
In these roles, I worked directly with offenders, victims, and families—balancing accountability with rehabilitation, public safety with compassion. I understands what works, what fails, and how broken policies put communities at risk.
Youth, Behavioral Health & Education
Behavior Specialist at Phoenix House, a residential group home for teenagers.
Lead Behavior Technician with BMAC, working in hundreds of classrooms across Western Washington.
I supported students with behavioral and developmental challenges, partnered with educators, and helped stabilize classrooms so all students could learn and succeed.
Developmental Disabilities & Vulnerable Populations
Attendant Counselor at Fircrest Residential Habilitation Center, serving adults with developmental disabilities
This work required patience, trust, and constant vigilance—advocating for dignity, safety, and quality of life for those who cannot advocate for themselves.
